Begin your journey in Entebbe, where if time permits you will enjoy a tour to learn about its natural and historical beauty. Next, you will take a bush flight to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip and continue to the accommodation facility by a luxurious safari land cruiser while taking in views of the rolling hills, deep valleys, winding roads, birds and locals along the roads.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to 400 plant species, 120 mammal species, over 350 bird species and about 200 bird species that will blow your mind. Here, over 20 gorilla families have been habituated for tracking and 160 gorilla permits are issued each day by Uganda Wildlife Authority for this safari destination.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, city tour
Welcome to Entebbe International Airport! On arrival, our Company representative will meet and greet you, help with clearing and immigration then hand you over to the safari driver.
Get transferred to the Hotel, which will be your home for one night.
Depending on arrival time, you will have a lot to explore in Entebbe. From the Entebbe Botanical gardens, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Uganda reptile village, the Craft markets and so much more. Settle for dinner and overnight.
Overnight;
- Upmarket: Hotel No. 5 or Protea Hotel Entebbe.
- Moderate: Boma Guesthouse.

Day 2: Entebbe- Kihihi/Kisoro, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Lovely morning! On this day, you will take a flight to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip (depending on Bwindi’s sector that you are visiting. Kihihi serves Buhoma and Ruhija sectors while Kisoro airstrip serves Rushaga and Nkuringo sectors.
The flight is one and a half hours, although can be more or less depending on the routing. When you arrive the airstrip, your private driver will take you to the Lodge for meals and overnight.
Overnight at:
- Upmarket: Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge or Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.
- Midrange: Mahogany Springs Camp or Silverback Lodge.
- Basic: Ride 4 a woman cottages.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Guided gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi and community walk
Today, you will be up early for breakfast and drive/or walk to the Park Headquarters for briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and other procedures you will have to undergo to get to the mountain gorillas.
Get allocated to one of the gorilla families and later embark on the search for the mountain gorillas, which will take 1-4 hours with sights of mammals, birds, butterflies and others along the way.
One hour is the time you are allowed to watch them play, groom each other, feed, copulate, take care of their young ones and other day-to-day activities
Continue the journey of exploring Bwindi into the afternoon, with a cultural walk though Batwa community. You will learn about their ancient hunting skills, honey harvesting, hut building, Bamboo cup making, fire-making from rubbing sticks and so much more. Wind this tour with a traditional dance performance by the Batwa pygmies.
